YOUR FUNCTIONAL HERBAL PRACTITIONER IS SPECIFICALLY TRAINED TO FOCUS ON THE PERSON RATHER THE DISEASE.

THE INITIAL CONSULTATION CAN TAKE UP TO 90 MINUTES DURING WHICH TIME THE HERBAL PRACTITIONER WILL FOCUS ON:

  • patient's background using a detailed case history
  • taking account of personal family history and medical history
  • patient's symptoms
  • patient's lifestyle choices and current diet
  • patient's current mood and stressors
  • patient’s environmental stressors
  • clinical examinations and functional tests where necessary
  • genomics and epigenetics
If the patient needs acute care for example for a fever, a cold or an ear infection, then a short half an hour consultation is also offered for 30 minute duration, face to face or via Skype.
Consultation price includes a full report specifying treatment plan sent by email or post within a week after the consultation. The treatment plan will include the recommended functional nutritional package describing diet and lifestyle modifications, meal plan, recipes, herbal treatment and supplement strategy.

A follow-up consultation in 2 to 3 weeks is recommended to review patient's progress and adjust the therapy as required. Follow-up consultation may take up to 45 minutes.
 
The length of treatment varies according to the problem. Dramatic improvement may be seen within two weeks of starting treatment whilst chronic conditions often take much longer. Therapy will be directed at the causes of disease not just the presenting symptoms. Prescriptions will be entirely personal to the extent that different patients presenting with similar conditions may have different prescriptions. After an acute consultation, the prescription will be given to the patient on the same day and may be made together in the dispensary to ensure that the patient becomes part of the healing process. In complex chronic conditions when further research is required in order to offer cutting edge up to date treatment, the prescription may be given up to a week to 10 days after the consultation.
